Polar Plunge 2018

The 18th annual Lee Lake Polar Bear Plunge will be held on Saturday, February 24th at Lee Lake in Cazenovia. Doors to the Cazenovia Community Center will open at 10:00 AM. Activities include a live auction, raffles, a bake sale and more. The plunge will be held at 2:00 PM. Money raised from the event will go to GRACE. Ron had a chance to talk with some of the people behind the scenes who help make the event possible.

Phil and Ron Quiz Day:

Every week Phil's knowledge is tested by Ron when they meet for Quiz Day. Ron has taken it upon himself to continue to educate Phil and keep his mind sharp. This week's quiz was on "cherries." It is our pleasure to share this week's quiz with our online audience.

 

4-H Meat Judging Results

Four teenagers from southwest Wisconsin will represent Wisconsin at the National 4-H Meats Judging Contest next January at the National Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.

Wednesday Game Day: February 21st

Grant County Farm Progress Days Scholarship

The Executive Committee of Grant County Farm Progress Days has established a scholarship fund. Each year a $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Grant County resident who is a graduating high school senior.

Richland County Finance and Personnel Committee Meeting

There was much discussion surrounding the new pay grade system adopted by the Richland County Board of Supervisors at the Tuesday, February 13th Finance & Personnel Committee meeting.

Wednesday Game Day: February 14th

Richland School Board February 12th Meeting

A common concern for local school districts was apparent during the February 12th meeting of the Richland School Board when District Administrator, Jerrod Burke, reported the Second Friday Pupil Count for the 2017-18 school year. This year’s number in the Richland District is 1392, down from the last four years of 1400 plus students.
