Wednesday, October 26
The Ithaca Sanitary District will be doing maintenance on one of the pumps at the Ithaca lift station now through Wednesday afternoon. Ithaca Sanitary District officials ask that during this time, Ithaca Sanitary District members limit water use as much as reasonably possible. Officials apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
All Richland Area Rotary Youth Soccer practices for Wednesday, October 26th, are cancelled due to poor field conditions.
Volunteers are invited to be part of the Guinness Book of World Records effort for the most pumpkins carved in a line or chain. Pumpkin carving will take place at the Richland Center Community Center Wednesday, October 26th through Saturday, October 29th from 9:00-6:00 each day. Large groups are encouraged to call ahead so organizers can have a station ready. There is also a need for supervisors for each of the pumpkin carving stations. The Lone Rock Congregational Church will host a chicken supper on Wednesday, October 26th, from 4:30-7:00. Cost for adults is $10, children are $4.50, and kids 4 and under are free.
The Viola American Legion Pancake Supper will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, from 4:30-6:30 at the Viola American Legion Hall. Cost for adults is $6, kids age six to ten are $4, and children under six are free. Proceeds will go toward the scholarship fund and Badger Boy's State Rep.
The Ocooch Mountain Humane Society will hold their annual meeting on Wednesday, October 26th, at 6:00 in the lower level of the Richland Hospital. The regular board meeting will follow.
Reservations need to be made by Wednesday, October 26, for the 2016 Richland County Farm Women/Outstanding Young Farmers Recognition Banquet scheduled for Friday, November 4th, at the County Kitchen/White House in Richland Center. Tickets to the banquet are $15 each and may be reserved by calling the Richland County Extension Office by Wednesday at 647-6148.

Partners of the Richland Hospital will hold their quarterly meeting on Thursday morning, October 27th, at 9:00 at the Richland Hospital. All are welcome to attend.
The Brewer Public Library hosts baby storytime for infants 24 months and under every Thursday morning at 10:30. Those attending will read books, sing, and have the opportunity to meet other area parents.
The Brewer Public Library invites the community to come and carve pumpkins Thursday October 27th through Saturday, October 29th. Richland Center is working to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest line of carved pumpkins in the world. The program is free, and all pumpkins and carving tools will be provided. Carving times are set for Thursday from 5:00-7:00, Friday from 4:00-5:30, and Saturday from 10:00-2:00.
Schmitt Woodland Hills staff and residents will be taking part in the effort to break the Guinness World Record for the most pumpkins carved in a line. Staff and residents will be carving pumpkins on Thursday, October 27th, from 1:30-2:30 in the health center on the first and second floor, the Westview dining room, and the second floor main dining room. Those who would like to help carve pumpkins are invited to attend.
The Central Avenue Apartments (Masonic Temple) in Richland Center will hold an open house on Friday, October 28th, from 11:00-3:00 for current tenants, local businesses, and previous owners. Saturday, October 29th, there will be an open house for the public from 11:00-3:00. The apartments are complete and ready for occupancy.
Classical guitarist Dan Wood and pianist Kimberly Fisher will perform at Stairway to Wellness in Richland Center Friday evening, October 28th, at 7:00. Stairway to Wellness is located at 196 W. Tickets are available for The Presidents, a night of music and fun, Friday, October 28th, from 8:30-12:00 at the White House Ramada. Tickets are on sale at the Capital Wealth Advisory Group office in the Richland Performing Arts Center, Gordy's Market, and Napa Auto Parts. Advance tickets are $12.50 or $15 at the door. Money raised will go to GRACE.
Saturday, October 29
The Boaz United Methodist Church will host a fall supper on Saturday, October 29th, from 4:30-7:00. Cost for adults is $10, kids aged 6-10 years old are $5, and children 5 and under are free. Carry outs will be available.
A free movie night will be held on Saturday, October 29th, at the Cazenovia Memorial Park at dusk. There will be two movies being shown, Hotel Transylvania and Hocus Pocus. Concessions will be provided and no carry-ins will be allowed. Money raised will go toward renovations at the park.
Sunday, October 30
The Ocooch Mountain Humane Society will hold an open house for the new cat adoption center located at 391 Clarson Street in Richland Center Sunday, October 30th, from 1:00-3:00.
Sunday, October 30, will be the final Sunday of the 2016 season for the A.D. German Warehouse in Richland Center. The building will be open from 10:00-2:00. Featured on this last open day of the season is a Gift Shop sale with 20% off all items. There is no admission charge for coming to the first floor gift shop area. Those interested can pay a fee for a tour of the exterior and interior (1st and 2nd floors) of the historic building. December calendar raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.
Tuesday, November 1
The Brewer Public Library will host an after-school Lego club that meets Tuesdays from 3:00-8:00. Youth of all ages are welcome to attend.
A free legal clinic will be available Tuesday, November 1st, from 4:00-6:00 at the Richland County Courthouse.

The Richland Center High School will host their winter sports meeting on Tuesday, November 1st. Paperwork and fees will be collected from 4:30-5:30, at 5:30 there will be a meeting with the athletic director, and the team meeting with parents, athletes and coaches will take place at 6:00.
Pine Valley Community Village will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 1st, at 5:30 on the first floor. Volunteers who are planning to help with moving into the new facility on November 3rd are asked to attend.

The Brewer Public Library hosts Everybody Storytime sessions every Wednesday and Friday from 10:30-11:00. Everybody Storytime is open to children of all ages.
The Blue River United Methodist Church will serve a free community supper on Wednesday, November 2nd, from 5:00-6:30 at the Blue River Community Building.
Thursday, November 3
The Parkinson's Education/Support Group will meet Thursday, November 3rd, at 10:00 at the Richland Center Community Center. The discussion topic will be "Parkinson's and Vision."
The Ancestors of Richland County Hills (ARCH) genealogy club will meet Thursday, November 3rd, at 5:30 at the Brewer Library History Room. The election of vice president and treasurer will take place as well as planning meetings and events for 2017. There will also be snacks available.
Friday, November 4
Schmitt Woodland Hills will host World Community Day Friday morning, November 4th, at 9:00. The theme will be "Gathered at God's Table." All are invited to attend.
St. Luke Church in Plain will host a family style fish dry on Friday, November 4th, from 5:00-8:00. Carry-outs will be available. The church hall is handicap accessible. For more information call 546-2482.
Saturday, November 5
Members of the A.D. German Warehouse Conservancy Board of Directors will be selling December calendar raffle tickets on Saturday, November 5th, from 9:30-2:00 at two locations in Richland Center. Sales will take place at Gordy's Market and at Walsh's Ace Hardware. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold for this raffle and nearly $4,000 will be paid out to winners. Tickets are priced at $10 each. Winning tickets will be put back in the pot so it's possible to win multiple times.
The United Church of Muscoda, Presbyterian will host their harvest luncheon bake sale, and Rada cutlery Saturday, November 5th, from 11:00-2:00.
Barneveld Lutheran Church will host a family style lutefisk and meatball dinner on Saturday, November 5th, from 11:00-4:00. Reservations are available by calling 924-8621. Walks-ins will also be welcome. Cost for adults is $18, children 4-12 years old are $7 and kids under 4 are free.
The Richland Center Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club will hold their chili cook-off and raffle on Saturday, November 5th, from 5:00-11:00 at the Phoenix Center. There is a $10 entry fee with a 200% payback on the chili/soup contest. Entertainment will be provided by the Dr. Rumley Snuff Band from 7:00-11:00. Home Health United will hold a drop in grief support group for adults who have experienced a loss the second Wednesday of each month at the Richland County Courthouse. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, from 9:00-10:30. No registration is required and there is no cost to attend. The Missfit Dolls Roller Derby team will hold a Chili Feed on Thursday, November 10th, from 6:00-8:00 at the Richland Center Community Center. Cost is $5 or $1 for Veterans and includes a bowl of chili, cornbread, dessert and drink. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Vets Roll.

Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will be at Richland Center Fellowship on Thursday, November 17th. The distribution will begin at 3:30 and run until 5:00. Participants are asked to please not arrive prior to 3:00 for the distribution. Participants should note that baskets or other items to mark a spot in line are not allowed. Those in line by 4:00 will be guaranteed a full share.
Saturday, November 19
The Viola United Methodist Church will host a food pantry on Saturday, November 19th from 9:00-11:00. The food pantry runs every third Saturday of the month.
Monday, November 21
The low vision support group will meet on Monday, November 21st, from 1:00-3:00 at the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
Tuesday, November 22
The second annual Schmitt Woodland Hills Thanksgiving Parade will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd at 10:00 on the second floor health center. The parade will feature wheelchair "floats." If you're interested in helping decorate floats contact 608-647-8931.
