Friday, July 3
The Lone Rock 4th of July Celebration takes place Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4th. Friday kicks off with bouncy houses, volleyball tournament, garden tractor pull, and Doc’s Ultimate DJ . Saturday events start at 9:00 am with a 5K Water Run/Walk, tractor pull, a parade at 11:00, and chicken barbecue at noon. There will be plenty of fun family activities throughout the day including water melon eating contest, face painting, kids crafts, treasure dig and carnival. The raffle drawing is at 7:00 pm, music at 8:00 and fireworks at dusk.
Saturday, July 4
The Richland Center Landfill will be closed Saturday, July 4th
Crossroads Youth Center will be closed Saturday, July 4th.
The Boscobel Firemen will host a July 4th Celebration on Saturday, July 4th at Kronsage Park. The Firecracker Walk and Run registration starts at 7:00 am. Enjoy a carnival, bounce houses and concessions. There will be a parade at Noon and a bean bag tournament at 2:00 pm with a $10 entry fee. Live Music from Black Water Gin will start at 6:00 with fireworks at dusk. Rain date will be July 5th.
Any 40 et 8 members wishing to ride the Locomotive in the Lone Rock 4th of July Parade should meet at the Richland Center American Legion before 9:30 am on Saturday, July 4th. The Locomotive will leave the station by 9:30.
The Witwen 4th of July Parade will take place on Satuday, July 4th at 10:30 am. Enjoy a chicken bbq with all the trimmings following the parade. There will be free games for all ages at 2:00 pm.
The Lone Rock EMS will host a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, July 4th at the Fire Station, following the parade.
Sunday, June 5
The United Church of Muscoda Presbyterian will hold an Ecumenical Worship Service on Sunday, July 5 at 9:30 am at the Wisconsin River Boat Landing.
Monday, July 6
The Richland School District will offer free meals through the Summer Food Program at Jefferson Elementary School for all children 18 years of age and under. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 - 12:30, no need to sign up or apply.
The removal of the Field of 5000 Flags at the Richland County Veterans Memorial will take place on Monday July 6 at 5:00 pm. Organizations and the public are welcome to assist.
Tuesday, July 7
There will be a free legal clinic on Tuesday, July 7 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Richland County Court House.
Wednesday, July 8
Richland County Health and Human Services-Public Health will offer an Immunization Clinic on Wednesday, July 8 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Community Services Building. These clinics offer all routine childhood vaccines for children covered by BadgerCare or do not have vaccine coverage.
Reserve your spot now for the Richland Center Women's Connection will host a Say It With Cheese Breakfast Buffet on Tuesday, July 14 at 9:15 am at the White House. Dianne Cook will provide samples from the Cheese Cellar, enjoy music by Theresa Alexander of Viola and guest speaker, Connie Lounsbury of Minnesota will talk about Who's Controlling Your Life. Thursday, July 9
The Richland Center Kiwanis Club will host a pancake supper on Thursday, July 9th from 5:00 - 7:30 pm at the Richland Community Center. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children 3-12, and free for children under 3. Proceeds will go to this year’s Kiwanis Backpack project.
Friday, July 10
Schmitt Woodland Hills in partnership with Blood Centers of Wisconsin will host a blood drive on Friday, July 10th from 10:00 - 2:00 in the activity room. Due to the closure of their front entrance for construction, donors should come through the Westview doors, or follow Norman Drive to the new Health Center entrance. Follow the signage inside to the blood drive.
The Durst Family Allis-Chalmers Tractor Show will take place Friday-sunday, July 10-12 at the David Durst Farm (32466 Apple Ridge Road, Richland Center). Over 200 tractors will be on display with wagon rides available. For more infomration, contact David Durst at 604-0479.

A free Jakes and Jennys 17 and under Youth Archery Day will take place on Saturday, July 11 at the Richland Center Archery clubhouse (Pleasant Valley Drive). The Lone Rock Food Pantry will hold a distribution on Monday, July 13 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm at the Lone Rock Elementary. The pantry serves families of children who attend Lone Rock Elementary and citizens of Lone Rock.
