Tuesday, September 1
The 2015 fund drive for the Richland County United Givers has begun. The goal for this year is to raise $35,000 for 23 area non-profit organizations. Donations can be sent to Richland County United Givers, P.O. Box 228, Richland Center, WI, 53581.
RCHS Homecoming Parade forms are due by September 25th for anyone looking to participate. The parade will be held on October 2 and 2:55 pm. Forms can be picked up at the High School Office, WRCO or the Community Center. You can also find the form online at the school website.
A Free Legal Clinic will take place on Tuesday, September 1 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Courthouse.
Wednesday, September 2
Blue River United Methodist Church will host a Free Community Supper on Wednesday, September 2 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Blue River Community Building.
All adults and high school age students in the community who would like to be a part of the choir at Sunday's Worship in the Park in Richland Center, should plan on attending choir practice Wednesday evening, September 2 at 7:30 at Peace United Methodist Church. The choir will sing a special anthem Sunday under the direction of Pam Kintz.
Hill Country Classic Power will have a monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 2 at 8:00 pm at the Phoenix Center.
Thursday, September 3
The Partners of the Richland Hospital will host an Autumn Blooms Sale of mums and fall flowers on Thursday, September 3 from 7:00 - 5:00 and Friday, September 4 from 7:00 - 3:00, or until sold out. The sale will take place in the Richland Hospital Main Entrance.
The Brewer Public Library will host the first ever Super Stupendous & Sweet Ice Cream Sundae Social on Thursday, September 3 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
The Ancestors of Richland County Hills (ARCH) genealogy club will meet Thursday, September 3 at 5:30 pm at the A.D. German Warehouse. Lon Arbegust, historian, will lead the tour.
Friday, September 4
Schmitt Woodland Hills along with Blood Centers of Wisconsin will host a blood drive on Friday, September 4 from 10:00 - 2:00 in the activity room. Any attempting donors will receive a $10 gas gift card.
Senator Ron Johnson will host a Public Town Hall on Friday, September 4th from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the Richland Center City Hall in the City Council Chambers.
The Avoca Rod and Gun Club will host a Men's Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament September 4-6 at Avoca Lakeside Park. Camping will be available; for reservations call the Avoca Village Office at 608-532-6318. A chicken barbeque will be served Saturday, September 5 at Noon. Food, drinks and a 50-50 raffle will run through the tourney to support the Avoca Rod and Gun Club. Proceeds will support the club's pheasant project.
St. Luke's Church of Plain will host its Family-Style Fish Fry on Friday, September 4 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Carry-outs are available.
The Kendall Labor Day Celebration will take place Friday - Sunday, September 4-6. All you can eat corn will be served Friday night for $6 and the softball tournament begins. Saturday hosts a Pancake Breakfast from 7:00- 11:00 am and continues with a craft fair, farmer's market and car show. Sunday will host a parade at 11:30 am, kids games, Tri-State Tractor Pull at 1:00 and a chicken dinner.
Saturday, September 5
Readstown's 39th annual Labor Day Celebration will take place Setpember 5-7. Enjoy a tractor pull, bean bag tournament and food. Monday is Kids Day with bike races and a parade at 2:00.
Sunday, September 6
The Pacific Park Mission of Chicago will present a mixed choir and guest speaker on Sunday, September 6 at 11:00 am at the Richland Baptist Temple.
Wednesday, September 9
Richland Center Merchants League Bowling will start on Wednesday, September 9th.
Richland County Health and Human Services-Public Health will hold an Immunization Clinic on Wednesday, September 9 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Community Services Building. These clinics offer all routine childhood vaccinations to children covered by BadgerCare or have no vaccine coverage.
Team Easton and the Richland Center Lions Club will host a Culver's Share Night for "Raising the Ruhlands" on Wednesday, September 9 from 4:00- 8:00 pm. Money raised will cover medical costs for Easton's cleft lip surgeries, therapies, epilepsy and retinal dystrophy.

Friday, September 11
Platteville will be celebrate its 18th annual Historic Re-enactment September 11th-13th in Moundview Park located. The camp is open to visitors on Friday from 8:00 - 5:00; Saturday from 11:00 - 5:00; and on Sunday from 10:00 - 3:00.
Center Color Fest will be held October 2 - 4 with the Annual "Canyon of Lights" Parade on Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 pm. This year's parade theme is: "Homecoming!! Class of....!" Saturday, September 12
Sugar Creek Bible Camp will hold its Fall Auction, Craft Fair and Trail Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, September 12. Registration for the run walk will be from 7:00 - 7:30 am with a 7:30 start time. The Country Store will be open from 8:00 - 2:00, the craft fair from 9:00 - 4:00 and the auction will run from 10:00 - 3:00.
St. John's Lutheran of Richland Center will host a Men's Breakfast on Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 am in the Fellowhip Hall. All men are welcome.
The Lone Rock Vets Roll will host a Poker Run on Saturday, September 12. There will be 5 stops ending at the Lone Rock Community Building with raffles and an auction. Registration is from 9:00 - 11:00 am at any of the following stops: Trader's Bar and Grill in Arena, Frankie's in Baraboo, R&J's Saloon in Mazomanie and Pape's Fair Valley Inn in Sauk City. Cost is $15 each. Dinner will be served at 4:00 and raffle drawings will begin. Enjoy music by TKO Band.
