Wednesday, August 24
The Cemetery meeting that was to take place at 5:00 at the Richland Center American Legion on Wednesday, August 24th, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 21st, at 5:00 at the same location.
A Papa Murphy's Share Night will be held on Wednesday, August 24th, from 4:00-8:00. Money raised will help support Annetta Schultz as she battles cancer.
The Richland Center High School Boys Basketball team will hold a Culver's Share Night on Wednesday, August 24th, from 4:00-8:00.
The Lone Rock Community Congregational Church will hold a Peach Shortcake Social on Wednesday, August 24th, at 4:30.
Thursday, August 25
The Brewer Public Library will host Baby Storytime Thursday mornings at 10:30. Those attending will read books, sing, and have the opportunity to meet other area parents.
Ithaca 7th and 8th grade volleyball will hold practices Thursday, August 25th from 5:30-7:00 and Friday, August 26th, from 3:30-5:30 in the old Ithaca gym.
The Doudna PTO meeting will be held on Thursday, August 25th, at 6:00 in the Doudna IMC.
Friday, August 26
The Rockbridge Meal Site will close out Old Home Week with a cookout on Friday, August 26th. There will also be entertainment and door prize drawings. Phone 647-9187 a day prior to reserve lunch.
Cazenovia Parks & Rec will host a free movie night Friday, August 26th, at Cazenovia Memorial Park at dusk. The two movies featured will be Monsters University and The Sandlot. Concessions will be provided. No carry-ins will be allowed into the park. Attendees may bring a lawn chair, or sit on the benches around the ball diamond. Proceeds will benefit the renovation project at Caz Memorial Park.
Sunday, August 28
Families in southwest Wisconsin who may benefit from receiving free backpacks and school supplies are to make note of a distribution event planned in Dodgeville. The Coalition of Motorcycle Clubs will be offering the back-to-school items on Sunday, August 28th from 10:00 until 2:00 or until supplies last at the corner of Highway 18 and North Bequette Street across from the old Wal-Mart parking lot. Anyone who would like to receive backpacks and supplies are welcome. Those who would like to be supportive of the effort can also drop off book bags or school supplies at RC Cycle or Shawn's Auto Repair & Performance in downtown Richland Center.
A merchandise trap shoot will be held at Hillpoint Rod and Gun Club on Sunday, August 28th from 11:00-5:00. There will also be concessions and paddle raffles. St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Loreto Ridge will hold a festival and shelter dedication on Sunday, August 28th. The event will start off with mass at 10:30. A BBQ dinner will be served from 11:30-2:30. Carry outs will be available. Cost is $12 for adults, children 5-12 $5, and kids 4 and under are free. There will also be entertainment all day.
St. Mary's Keyesville will be hosting a Parish Family Reunion Potluck Picnic on Sunday, August 28th, from 10:30-3:00. All parishioners-past, present and future are invited to attend. If you can't bring a dish to pass there will be a free will offering. The church will serve hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, and drinks. There will be games for all ages inside and out.
Tuesday, August 30
A Muscoda Community Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at Kratochwill Building from 12:00-6:00. Those who donate blood will receive a $5 Amazon gift code and a coupon for a free pint of Culver's frozen custard.
The Richland Community Food Pantry will hold their distribution on Tuesday, August 30th, from 4:00-5:30 at the Lighthouse Chapel.
Wednesday, August 31
Luminaries from the Walk With GRACE can be picked up at the Grace Office on Wednesdays from 10:00-2:00.
The Muscoda American Legion Post 85 will be serving burgers in the park on Wednesday, August 31st, at Muscoda's Railroad Park from 4:00-8:00.
Thursday, September 1
The Ancestors of Richland County Hills (ARCH) genealogy club and guests will meet on Thursday, September 1st, at 5:45, at the Vernon County Museum in Viroqua. Those looking to car pool, are asked to meet at the Brewer Public Library by 5:00.
Partners of the Richland Hospital will be having their fall Autumn Blooms flower sale on Thursday, September 1st, from 7:00-5:00 and on Friday, September 2nd, from 7:00-3:00 or until sold out. Located at the front entrance of the Richland Hospital.
Friday, September 2
The 3rd Annual Caz Summer's End Bash will be held Friday through Sunday, September 2nd through the 4th, at Cazenovia Memorial Park. Events include men's and coed softball, coed grass volleyball, the Cazenovia "TinMan" Competition, music, and a bean bag tourney. No carry-ins. All Proceeds will benefit the park renovations.
St. Luke Church of Plain will host a family style fish dry on Friday, September 2nd, from 5:00-8:00. Carry-outs will be available. The church hall is handicapped accessible.
Saturday, September 3
A Bake Shop and Breakfast will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, from 8:00-11:00 at First Lutheran Church in Lone Rock.
The 5th Annual Smiles for a Child Charity Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, at Quail Run Golf Links with a 1:00 tee time. The event is a four person scramble. Cost for nine holes, a cart, and dinner is $40. There will be prizes, a putting contest, a 50/50 raffle and more.
Sunday, September 11
The Church of the Nazarene will host a free Gospel Concert on Sunday, September 11th at 10:00. The concert will feature the Dysart Family. A potluck will follow the concert and everyone is invited to attend.
Wednesday, September 21

Sunday, September 25
Rachael's 5K Walk/Run will take place on Sunday, September 25th on the bicycle trail behind Ace Hardware. The run will start at 8:00 with the walk beginning at 8:30. Food and refreshments will be served. Register at Hibbett Sports. Cost for registration is $25. For more information call 647-8775. Money raised will go to Passages.
