Wednesday, February 21

Due to an illness, Business After Hours Networking at Dennis Alfred Art to Wear on Wednesday, February 21st has been cancelled.

The Richland Community Food Pantry will hold a distribution on Wednesday, February 21st from 4:00-5:30 at the Lighthouse Chapel.

Soul Kitchen will serve a free community meal on Wednesday, February 21st at 5:30 PM at the Nazarene Outreach Center in Richland Center.

The Kids Honoring Our Savior group, will meet on Wednesday, February 21st from 6:00-7:15 PM at the Richland Center Free Methodist Church. Children ages four years to sixth grade are invited to attend for singing, games, crafts, snacks and a Bible lesson. The group meets every Wednesday.

Bestselling author, Kathleen Ernst will hold a presentation at the Muscoda Public Library on Wednesday, February 21st at 6:00 PM. One of the books in her series, Memory of Muskets, was featured on A Chapter a Day in 2017. Ms. Ernst will be available for a book signing after the presentation.

The Richland Hospital will hold a labor support class on Wednesday, February 21st from 6:00-9:00 PM at the hospital.

Schmitt Woodland Hills, in cooperation with area churches, will host five Lenten services at Schmitt Woodland Hills. The first service will be held on Wednesday, February 21st in the second floor activity room. Tonight's service will begin with a meal from 5:30-6:30 PM. All services will follow at 7:00 PM. Following the service there will be a time for refreshments.

Park Street Christian Church will present a six week Easter DVD series starting on Wednesday, February 21st and continuing through Wednesday, March 28th. The showings will be held each Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the downstairs fellowship hall of the church.

The Ithaca Lions Club will meet on Wednesday, February 21st at 7:00 PM at the Village Pump.

The Ithaca School District will hold a school board meeting on Wednesday, February 21st, 7:00 PM in the school library.

Thursday, February 22

Trash collection in the township of Ithaca will be running one day behind this week due to Tuesday's icy road conditions.

The Ocooch Mountain Humane Society Animal House food stand crew will serve Chicago dogs and Wisconsin brats on Thursday, February 22nd, at the old Kwik Trip location at Main Street in Richland Center from 10:00-2:00.

St. John's Walk With GRACE team will hold an all you can eat pizza buffet on Thursday, February 22nd, from 4:30-7:30 PM at the Phoenix Center. Cost per person is $10 and $5 for children 10 and under. There will also be raffles and a silent auction. All proceeds will go to GRACE.

UW-Extension will present a cattle feeder clinic on Thursday, March 1st at the Phoenix Center. Registration will begin at 10:30 AM with the program to start at 11:00 AM. Cost per person is $20.Pre-registration is requested by Thursday, February 22nd and may be done by calling 647-6148.

Grace Community Church will a local site for The Parent's Summit, on Saturday, February 24th from 9:00-4:00 at the church located at 23291 Hwy. AA Richland Center. Early registration may be done by calling Deb Johnston at 647-2222 or by visiting their website, lifeofgrace.org. Cost for the program is $40 for those who pre-register. There will be registration available at the door for $45 per person.

The North Crawford School District will hold its 4 year old screening on Monday, February 26th at the school performance center from 12:30-6:30 PM. To schedule an appointment call Tina at 608-624-5201 ext. 238.

Friday, February 23

The Brewer Public Library will hold Everybody Storytime on Friday, February 23rd at 10:30 AM at the library. Storytime is for children five and under. There will be stories, songs, activities, and a chance to learn early reading skills.

Woman's Relief Corp W. H. Bennett unit 71 will hold a meeting on Friday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM at Schmitt Woodland Hills in the community room. All current members are encouraged to attend.

The Milk Into Cheese 8 Pin Tap individual bowling tournament will be held on Sunday, March 4th at Boscobel Bowl and Banquet. Shifts at 11:00 and 1:30 are available. There will be a meat raffle, a 50/50 raffle and more. Cost to bowl is $15 and includes shoes and one pound of cheese. All money raised will go toward the Milk Into Cheese efforts. A DNR boat safety certification course will be offered at Vetesnik Power Sports on from Thursday, March 8th through Saturday, March 10th. Cost for the course is $10 and may be paid at the first class. Class size is limited. To register for the course or for more information call 604-0043.

Saturday, February 24

American Legion Post 13 in Richland Center will hold a soup and chili supper and pie auction on Saturday, February 24th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Richland Center American Legion. The meal is $6 per person for all you can eat. The Ladies Auxiliary Unit 13 will also be selling patriotic t-shirts. Home made pies will be auctioned throughout the event. Proceeds will go toward upkeep of the legion hall.

Sunday, February 25

The Richland Center Knights of Columbus will serve a pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 25th from 8:30-12:00 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Richland Center. A free will offering will be taken. All proceeds will be donated to GRACE. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Monday, February 26

The Richland Hospital will offer free blood pressure checks on Monday, February 26th from 12:00-4:00 PM at the hospital.

Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will hold a distribution at Ss. Anthony and Phillip Church in Highland on Monday, February 26th at 4:30 PM.

Richland County Public Transportation is offering transportation for those needing a ride to get groceries. Cost for the trip is $5. The bus leaves Richland Center at 8:30 AM and will leave the destination city no later than 2:00 PM. For information on routes being offered or to make a reservation call 647-4616. Reservations for the trip must be made by 10:00 AM the Friday before the week of the trip.

Weston's Got Talent Community Talent Show, sponsored by the Weston Drama Club and Weston Silver Eagle Foundation will be held on Saturday, March 10th at the Weston High School starting at 6:00 PM. Auditions for the talent show will be held on Monday, February 26th, Tuesday, February 27th and finally on Thursday, March 1st from 3:30-6:30 each day. To sign up call 986-2151 ext. 120.

The Ithaca School District will hold 4K screenings on Friday, March 2nd and Friday, March 16th from 8:00-3:00 both days. 3 year old screenings will take place on Friday, April 27th from 8:00-3:00. To schedule an appointment call 585-2311.

Look Good....Feel Better is a program sponsored by the American Cancer Society to teach female cancer patients beauty techniques during chemotherapy and radiation treatment.  The next session will be at the Richland Hospital on Thursday, March 1st.  Time is set by appointment.  The program is free, however registration is required by 4:30 on Wednesday, February 28th. Thursday, March 1

The Riverdale Honor Society will hold a blood drive on Thursday, March 1st at the Riverdale High School From 10:00-3:00. To make an appointment call 739-3116.

The Richland County Performing Arts Council will present Symphony on the Rocks on Saturday, March 17th at the Richland Center City Auditorium. There will be two shows at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $25 per person or $30 at the door. Tickets for both shows are priced at $45 in advance or $50 at the door. Friday, March 2

The Church Women United will meet on Friday, March 2nd at the Willow Valley Church at 9:00 AM. All women are welcome to attend. There will be an election of officers at the meeting.

St. Luke Church in Plain will serve a family fish fry on Friday, March 2nd from 5:00-8:00 PM at the church. Carry outs will be available and the church is handicapped accessible.

Saturday, March 3

UW-Richland Alumni Association will hold it's 2018 Homecoming on Saturday, March 3rd in the UW-Richland Gymnasium. The alumni women's volleyball game will start at 11:30 and the alumni men's basketball game will start at 1:30. There will be a special halftime ceremony honoring the 1967-1968 men's basketball team. Food will be provided by the UW-Richland Booster Club. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Sunday, March 4

The 40 et 8 will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast on Sunday March 4th at the Richland Center American Legion. Serving will run from 7:00-12:30. Cost for a meal is $5 for all you can eat.

The Hillpoint VFW Post 3434 will hold a soup and euchre tournament on Sunday, March 4th at the Hillpoint VFW. Lunch will be served at 11:00 and the euchre tournament will begin at 1:00. Cost for a meal is $6 for adults, $3 for kids 6 to 12 years old and free for kids under 6. Cost to take part in the euchre tournament is $3 a person.

The Richland County Veteran's Memorial Benefit Dance will be held on Sunday, March 4th from 1:30-6:00 PM at the White House Banquet Center in Richland Center. Music will be provided by Monty Berger and the Country Gold Band. There will be prizes, raffles and food. A $5 donation per person is requested. For more information call 604-9462.

Feed My Starving Children will hold a special concert on Sunday, March 4th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. Eric Nofsinger will perform at the church starting at 1:30 PM. Friday, March 9

The Wisconsin ACE Interface curriculum will present a special program dealing with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and brain development on Friday, March 9th from 1:00-3:00 PM at the UW-Richland Pippin Conference Center. The Richland Center High School Silent Trivia and Silent Auction night will be held on Friday, March 9th in the East Commons of the high school. Doors will open at 6:00 PM and trivia will start at 7:00 PM. There will also be raffles and other games. Cost per person is $5 and includes popcorn and a beverage. Friday, March 16

The O’Delicious Bake Sale will be held on Friday, March 16th at Richland County Bank from 9:00-1:00. Money raised will help support the Ocooch Mountain Humane Society. There will also be handmade bird houses and nesting material nets.

Sunday, March 18

Pine Valley Community Village will present a special concert on Sunday, March 18th at Pine Valley. The Brass in the Pines concert will take place in the Pine Valley Community Room from 2:00-3:00. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call 647-2138.
